Zoom, zoom, zoom…

Zoom, zoom, zoom…

Do you enjoy Zoom meetings? Have you grown to enjoy them more than you thought you would? I don’t mind the platform and I’m noticing how many people are supporting each other on a local level. I’m a part of an organization called BNI and these members are sharing business with one another at the same rate as before “The Great Pause”. What a great expression of loyalty.

I have also been calling people who come to mind to talk with them about how they are handling this experience. I spoke with my college buddy, Andy, who is a boat captain. He told me his industry is shut down and he is currently interviewing for a job on a new boat. During a Zoom interview the boat owner asked Andy about other boats he’d worked on in the past. Andy mentioned an Italian built boat and commented, “it was the worst built boat I have operated”. Two minutes after that comment the boat owner stated he’s currently building a 112′ Italian built boat. My friend didn’t get the job.

Fortunately, Andy has a positive personality and we both laughed about the fumble. He knew if he had been given the job he would be unhappy with the boat and unhappy with the job. Have you experienced a fumble on a Zoom call?

I’m positive that this whole pandemic is happening for a reason. We are noticing that businesses are hiring and working again. As the market place begins to reopen, remember customer loyalty is great for your business. Try new trends and use this phase to build on your demographic. I’m here to help you audit your marketing efforts and determine your target audience. If you are looking to build customer loyalty (and not create an ‘Italian boat scenario’) Tony Robbins has written an article with more insight. Feel free to read more on his website.

Please enjoy your week and contact me if I can help you.
